Talking to the Nervous System

A mind-body approach to managing stress and chronic pain

Let's take wellness beyond the massage table.

I love the hands-on work I do as a massage therapist, but a monthly session can only go so far in addressing chronic pain and stress. What gets me most excited is when I get to work with clients to make changes in their lives off the table, building self-knowledge and body awareness paired with practices that strengthen resilience and sustain progress between massage sessions.  

 

Living with chronic pain and stress can be a roller coaster of highs and lows. My aim in this workshop series is to help turn down the dial on the lows and find more stability in the highs.

After this series, you'll understand

Nervous System States

Beyond learning what different nervous system states are, you'll strengthen your ability to identify them as you move through your day. Learn to harness stress and promote rest in your body.

Fascial Memory

Your body remembers. Learn how to notice and release patterns of holding tension by working with the fascia.

Postural Balance

Do you feel like you're playing tug-of-war with your body? Learn to notice the patterns of push and pull in the body, finding balance through both strengthening and softening.

Pair knowledge with practice

Each week, you'll learn simple, evidence-based practices to help you regulate your nervous system and release tension.

I'll teach a mix of tools with origins from East to West, modern to ancient, including: 

  • Self-massage 

  • Yoga

  • Breathwork

  • Somatic Experiencing 

  • Applied Polyvagal theory

INTEGRATE

Apply your knowledge and practice to your daily life through community support and accountability. Over the 4 weeks, we'll work together to build new habits between sessions that continue long after our series concludes.
