The 2025
Nervous System Reset

A Somatic Workshop Series for Managing Chronic Stress and Pain

GATHERING AT THE YOGA TREE
STARTING IN JANUARY 2025

Scan78822.jpg
Do you feel anxious, overwhelmed, tense, or checked out? Do you want to learn how to release the chronic tension in your hips, shoulders, and neck in a way that’s gentle rather than forceful?

You’re not alone, and you deserve to feel better in your body. Learning to meet your nervous system where it is and cultivating a relationship of reciprocity with your body is foundational to finding a sense of calm, openness, safety, and connection.

In this 6-Class series, we’ll meet as a group every other Wednesday evening at The Yoga Tree to understand how our nervous systems function, why (and where) we hold physical tension, and to learn practices for release and self-regulation. You’ll understand how to process stress through your body and also spend time integrating that knowledge into your day-to-day life, building new habits over the course of our series with community support.

Embodied Understanding

Standing in one's own experience of the body is empowering, enabling you to become self-referential and to build trust with your intuition.  More than just conceptual learning, you’ll understand through your embodied experience:

  • The foundations of your central nervous system

  • How different nervous system states feel in your body

  • How and where patterns of tension are held in your body

  • Paths to release, regulation, and integration

Pair Knowledge with Practice

You’ll learn a mix of evidence-based practices for nervous system regulation that are rooted in ancient knowledge, including:

  • Yoga postures (asana)

  • Breathwork (pranayama)

  • Vagal toning (applied Polyvagal theory)

  • Somatic movement (tools pulled from Somatic Experiencing™)

  • Self-massage

  • Moving meditation

  • Journaling

Better Together:
Get Community and 1:1 Support

From January to March, we’ll meet in-person at The Yoga Tree, building a safe and supportive community for learning, connecting, and encouragement as we build new habits together. Between in-person workshops, we’ll meet for 30-minute group virtual check-ins to help support your at-home practice.

You’ll also have the option to meet with me for two 30-minute 1:1 sessions (one near the beginning of the series and one toward the end), where I can help you set realistic goals, complete an optional postural evaluation, answer questions, and integrate new practices into your routine.
